The Late Great Heinz 57

?? 1978-June 29, 1992

June 29th ’92 Gabrielle, Saigh’s Heinz 57 companion of 14 years died due to old age.  Gabe had been a “teenage mother” (we were advised by the then vet to wait until after her first heat to have her spayed, that was one heat too many when she jumped through a window when a dog from 2 mile or so, maybe 1 mile through the woods, came to visit) foster mother to Jareth the Cat-that-thought-he-was-a-dog and a veteran of many political actions.  

She loved to travel, as well has hang out on the farm chasing water fowl she would never catch and lying in the sun. We went on many adventures from living in the woods one summer to visiting friends in NC a couple of times to going to protests together.  She has been greatly missed all these years.
